Surf Lessons at Piha Beach | Left Nick, one of our surf instructors with our guest John from England. We can arrange private, one-on-one lessons for you. Yes, its true. The best, absolute best, chips in New Zealand can be had at 'Blairs on the Beach' Piha.
To get there turn left at the bottom of Piha Hill heading toward South Piha Beach. Right next to Piha Surf Life Saving Club you'll find Blairs on the Beach.Their toasted sandwiches are pretty scrum too.

BAR/RESTAURANT CHRISTMAS HOURS The club Bar and restaurant will open 7 days a week from Thursday 18 December. Over the Christmas/New Year period the bar will be CLOSED on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. On a couple of dates over the holiday period there will be music events at the club. A cover charge will apply and the restaurant will only offer a reduced menu on these dates.

The Piha Store stocks a selection of general groceries. They have a selection of cake slices, delicatessen foods, espresso coffee and home-made pies . In the weekends don't miss their fresh croissant along with the Sunday papers. The Herald is available around 10:00am. They accept EFTPOS but not Credit Card.
The Piha Library is one of Piha's greatest Community Assets. Run by volunteers it has a great stock of books for all age groups. It also stocks videos and DVDs, has photocopier and laminator.

Piha Domain Camp Ground:
The Piha Domain Camp is right next door to the Piha Library and opposite the Piha Store. Managed by Fiona it is often packed during the summer by regular visitors.
Blair's on the Beach:Formally known as the 'Seagulls Nest' but now owned and run by Blair, Rana and their crew this little takeaway, right next to the Piha Surf Club, sells the best chips and toasted sandwiches. Great selection of iced drinks and ice creams. Its hugely popular. Great, friendly staff. Espresso coffee as well.

Piha Surf Club: operates surf patrol at South Piha Beach from Labour Weekend until Easter. The life guards wear distinctive yellow and red uniforms. Their instructions should be followed for your own safety. Only swim between the yellow and red flags.
