The Glenesk Project got to plant out before the Beach Valley Project! Oh well .......... that's life ...... and it was a wonderful day too. All you folk up Glenesk; you're doing one amazing job. Here are some of the photos I took today: All photos can't be clicked for larger images.low: This is an overview of the Glenesk / Seaview Road corner where the first 'plant out' was done today.

Below from left: one publicity shy local ( I won't name but if you need water phone him .... ) who is scared someone may be looking for and recognise him! 2nd: Shelley France who was driving past, saw the workers so went home and got her gardening gear and came down to help out - one of the great things a Community Project like this encourages, Mary Stewarts darling wee son who happily entertained himself while Mum worked and then Me .... after stepping back to take a photo and put my left in the bog to the huge amusement of the 'workers' - thanks Geoff for getting the photo ...... great fun! As if that wasn't enough work for the day I returned later to find them still planting further up Glenesk on a bank side . . . 
While this was happening in Piha I took off to a Garden Tour, with 5th Season, of the Auckland Domain. Below: a beautiful display of carex, astelia and gahnia.
